INSTRUCTIONS:
This test is to check the condition of direct clutch, forward clutch, brake and reversebrake 1st.
a.Connect the intelligent tester to DLC3.
b.Run the vehicle until the temperature of ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid)reaches 50 ° to 80 ° C (122 ° to 176 ° F).
c.Let the engine idle with the air conditioning OFF.
d.Set the parking brake and keep stepping on the brake pedal firmly with your left foot.
e.Check the time lag range D.
i.Move the shift lever into the N position and wait for 1 minute. (* 1)
ii.Move the shift lever into the D position and measuring the time until you feel noshock. (* 2)
iii.Repeat the procedure (* 1) and (* 2) three times, and calculate the average time ofthree times the test.
f.Check the time lag range R.
i.Move the shift lever into the N position and wait for 1 minute. (* 3)
ii.Move the shift lever into a position of R and measuring the time until you feel noshock. (* 4)
iii.Repeat the procedure (* 3) and (* 4) three times, and calculate the average time ofthree times the test.
Default value:
Time lag range D is about 1.2 seconds
Time lag range R is about 1.5 seconds
Evaluation: Testing Results
Time lag range D exceeding the standard value.
Possible Causes
Line pressure is too low
Forward clutch (C1) worn
One-way clutch (F2) No. 2 does not work perfectly
Evaluation: Testing Results
Time lag range R exceeds the standard value
Possible Causes
